Ruoning “Ronni” Yin has already packed a remarkable amount of history into a young career. Born in Kunming, China, Yin picked up golf at age 10 and quickly developed into one of the country’s top young players. She won three consecutive events to begin her professional career on the China LPGA Tour before earning her LPGA Tour card in 2022.

Her breakthrough on the LPGA Tour came in 2023, when she won the DIO Implant LA Open and then captured the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at just 20 years old. That victory made her only the second woman from China to win a major championship. Later that year, Yin reached No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

Known as “Ronni” to friends and fans, Yin combines an aggressive ball-striking game with an ability to recover from trouble that has become one of her trademarks. She has grown from a promising young player into one of the most accomplished stars of her generation.
