Rose Zhang arrived on the LPGA Tour with expectations few players have ever carried—and somehow managed to meet them almost immediately. Before turning professional, Zhang won two NCAA individual championships at Stanford, the 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur and back-to-back ANNIKA Awards. She also spent a record 141 weeks as the world’s No. 1-ranked amateur and became Stanford’s winningest golfer, surpassing a school record previously shared by players including Tiger Woods.

Then came one of the most memorable professional debuts in recent LPGA history. Zhang won the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open in her very first start as a professional, becoming the first player since 1951 to win an LPGA Tour event in her professional debut.

Zhang has since added another LPGA victory and represented the United States in the Solheim Cup, continuing to develop into one of the sport’s most recognizable young stars.
