About Gaby

Gaby López has spent a decade building a career that extends far beyond her LPGA Tour victories. A native of Mexico City, López starred at the University of Arkansas, where she won three collegiate titles and finished runner-up at the 2015 NCAA Championship. She has represented Mexico at three consecutive Olympic Games—Rio, Tokyo and Paris—and was Mexico’s flag bearer at the Tokyo Olympics.

Her professional breakthrough came at the 2018 Blue Bay LPGA, making her only the second Mexican woman to win on the LPGA Tour after Lorena Ochoa. She added victories at the 2020 Tournament of Champions and 2022 Dana Open.

But López’s impact is not limited to what happens between the ropes. She has worked to expand opportunities for young girls in Mexico, including through Lorena Ochoa’s Xuntas organization, and helped bring an LPGA event back to Mexico in 2025. Away from golf, she enjoys music, movies, shopping and spending time with friends.

For López, every tournament is another opportunity to compete for herself—and represent a growing generation of Mexican golfers.
