Chizzy Iwai has already made history—and she’s doing it alongside the person who has shared nearly every step of her journey. Born in Saitama, Japan, Chizzy and her identical twin sister, Aki, grew up playing golf together and turned professional on the LPGA Tour in 2025. Their arrival marked the first time identical twins competed on the LPGA Tour, and they quickly became two of the most intriguing young players in the game.

Chizzy was the first to reach the winner’s circle, capturing the 2025 Mexico Riviera Maya Open with a six-shot victory. Before earning her LPGA Tour card in late 2024, she had already won seven times on the JLPGA Tour, establishing herself as one of Japan’s brightest young stars.

Her 2026 season has offered more glimpses of what makes her special, including a remarkable 62 at the Honda LPGA Thailand and a runner-up finish at the event. She and Aki have even teamed up at the Dow Championship, where their natural chemistry makes them one of the most entertaining pairings on tour.
