WTGL is a go for launch.

It’s time for opening day at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., where the inaugural season of WTGL takes flight with Los Angeles Golf Club facing New York Golf Club at 3 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPN.

Formed in partnership with the LPGA and featuring the top players in the world, WTGL will play the same fast-paced team golf format we’ve seen from the first two seasons of TGL presented by SoFi.

There’s plenty of star power in the lineups and no telling how the season will unfold, with five WTGL teams vying for playoff spots and a chance to win it all as the first season tees off Sunday afternoon in front of a national audience.

LINEUPS

Los Angeles Golf Club: Michelle Wie West, Alison Lee, Gaby López

New York Golf Club: Rose Zhang, Linn Grant, Lydia Ko

Here’s the order in which players will tee off for their teams on Sunday:

3 THINGS TO KNOW

Marquee Match: WTGL’s first-ever match features two of the biggest names in golf, with Michelle Wie West and Lydia Ko.

Ko is a 23-time winner on the LPGA Tour along with three major titles, having previously held the title of World No. 1 for a total of 125 weeks.

Wie West played in her first LPGA event at age 12, becoming a global sensation and earning her first major victory at the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst. There’s no doubt these two icons will be ready to go from the start at SoFi Center.

Solheim Showdown: Alison Lee and Linn Grant are both coming off 4-0-0 performances in the 2026 Solheim Cup - with Lee holding it down for the American team and Grant leading the charge in Team Europe’s 15-13 victory in the Netherlands.

The two match-play stars will face off on Sunday at SoFi Center and should thrive under the spotlight with both teams looking to pick up a crucial first victory.

In Good Company: Both Los Angeles and New York have had plenty of success through the first two seasons of TGL - LAGC captured the SoFi Cup in 2026 with a 2-0 sweep of Jupiter Links Golf Club in the Finals.

NYGC reached the Finals in the inaugural season with an epic second-half turnaround. Wie West and other WTGL players have already taken in TGL matches on the campus of Palm Beach State College, and now it’s their turn to show the fans what they can do at SoFi Center.

SINGLES MATCHUPS

Michelle Wie West vs. Rose Zhang: Singles gets underway at No. 10, Quick Draw - a par 5 staple that has added a new tee box to the right side of the canyon that brings an even greater risk-reward element in play. They finish up at the par-4 13th, Stinger, where players must flight it low in order to avoid the overhanging rock that claimed plenty of tee shots in the 2026 season of TGL.

The 23-year-old Zhang became the first-ever player to win in her LPGA debut at the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open. Now she’s looking to help NYGC to victory in its WTGL debut.

Alison Lee vs. Linn Grant: Fans are in for a treat with Lee and Grant starting off at Bluebonnet, a par 4 that can play as a drivable par 4 or a demanding long par 4, depending on the tee.

Then it’s on to No. 14, On the Rocks, a short par 3. Tom Kim memorably spun his tee shot backward and straight into the cup on this hole during Jupiter Links' match against The Bay Golf Club in the 2026 season.

Gaby López vs. Lydia Ko: The match concludes at No. 15, Caverns, a surreal par 5 set inside of a cave with low-hanging obstacles and a chance to reach the green in two with some savvy off the tee.

THE COURSE

Wie West and Zhang have the honors for WTGL’s opening hole, Cut the Sails - a downward-sloping par 4 that drastically rewards accurate drives with generous rollouts. The vertical drop gives players the chance to go big and leads to some eye-popping numbers off the tee. Zhang will have the honor of the first tee shot in WTGL history.

Players will see a familiar hole with an entirely fresh look at the par-3 third, Craic On, which features a new tee box that forces players to navigate a castle wall and hit into a small window just 22 feet at its widest point.

WTGL will also include Team Holes for every squad - a new addition for the 2026 season of TGL in which players see their Team Hole in every match. LAGC’s Showtime is up first as the fourth hole in the rotation on Sunday. It’s a right-to-left par 5 set along the California coastline where Los Angeles will look to start things right with a birdie opportunity.

The par-3 seventh, SOS, is a brand new hole designed by Annika Sörenstam and set near a Swedish warship amongst a Nordic backdrop and inspired by Sorenstam’s homeland.

Triples concludes at New York’s Team Hole, the Big Apple, a long par 5 which plays downward towards the Hudson River and the NYC skyline.

Singles begins at Quick Draw, a par 5 that swung many TGL matches late and now features a new tee box on the right side of the canyon - potentially leading to even more dramatic late moments.

The Last Toll and Stinger represent a key two-hole stretch in Singles play - No. 12, The Last Toll, allows players to show off their preferred shotmaking skills with a tee shot through a narrow window, while No. 13, Stinger, has only one real choice off the tee - keep it low or face the consequences.

Singles wraps up with another new addition from the 2026 season of TGL in Caverns, a spectacular par 5 that lends itself to big scoring swings.

HOLE SPOTLIGHT

No. 1, Cut the Sails, 337 yards

WTGL begins with Wie West and Zhang getting the party started at the first, Cut the Sails, where a strong drive will be generously rewarded on a dramatically sloping fairway funneling down to the green. This hole yielded five of the longest drives in the 2026 season of TGL and serves as the official kickstarter for the inaugural season of WTGL.
